Continuing on our travels in the New World, we have touched down in South Africa and Cape Town in the 1600's and then sailed East towards Australia and New Zealand. We focused on history and we talked about some of the most impressive wineries from these countries.

In our first foray into the New World, we touched upon the history of two of New Worlds highlights. We covered history and the main regions of USA and Argentina. We talked a bit about some of the more interesting iconic wines, such as the Opus One or the Ridge vineyards.

We returned to Bordeaux, to give some attention to he supplemental varieties. We talked a little bit about Phylloxera, the disease responsible for the demise of many vineyards. We also covered Rhone Valley, Alsace and Loire Valley, along with some of the "less important" wine regions of France. At the end we gave quite a bit of attention the the infamous Didier Dagueneau.
